Special Care Travel Pty Ltd is a licensed Travel Agency and Accredited Coach Company established in 1986. Special Care Travel provides supported holidays for small group tours and individual, people with a mild to moderate intellectual disability, visual or hearing impairment, epilepsy, developmental and some mobility impairments.

Founding Director Robyn with 30 years experience and her husband Douglas accompany every tour thus ensuring that our clients receive the consistency and quality of care required to cater for individual’s special needs. To ensure the comfort and safety of all our clients we do not cater for people with violent behaviors.

Robyn & Douglas enjoy getting to know all travelers on a personal basis. This professional and caring approach enables us to meet the specific care requirements and personal wishes of each individual with dignity and respect to make their holiday a more relaxed enjoyable experience.

All Special Care Travel holidays are priced to include GST 24 hour care and assistance, sightseeing entries as per tour itinerary. Return travel from tour departure point. All breakfast, lunch and dinners. Travelers pay for their own drinks, souvenirs and personal spending only.

Our company mantra is to provide an enriching and fun holiday in a safe and comfortable environment. We strive to deliver all activities listed on our tour brochure unless unsafe or uncomfortable circumstance should arise. Each tour is paced to suit the client’s abilities.

Where ever you may live joining one of our tours is really quite simple. We will look after all extra travel arrangements for you. Getting to the tour departure point may require pre or post travel arrangements or extra accommodation or even an escort. In some cases we may be able to pick you up from home. These extra arrangements do attract additional cost but we will do our best to minimize this cost for you.

Travel insurance is recommended though not compulsory on domestic tours. International tours and cruises do require you to purchase adequate and effective travel insurance. All passports and other travel documents are at your own cost etc. proof of age card or companion card.

How to book or reserve a place on your holiday of choice

  1. Complete Booking/Reservation from online at or call us 1800 800 820 (A blank form can also be printed from the website).
  2. If you have not traveled with us in the past 12 months you will need to complete our medical form online or print from website and fax or scan back to our office.
  3. We will then send an invoice to the email address provided on your booking form. Invoices and statements are mailed to your address only if requested. Full payment or a deposit is required to secure your  holiday reservation. Statement will also be emailed upon receiving your payment.
  4. If you wish to claim NDIS funding your plan must be current for the dates of your selected holiday.Please advise our office of your intention to claim at the time of booking .We will submit a service booking after agreement is reached with your Co Ordinator. Payment request from NDIS is made when you have completed your holiday.
  5. If you are booking a cruise a deposit is required within 72 hours to secure your cabin. This is the policy of the cruise line.
  6. Times to meet at departure point for pick-up and drop off details will be advised weeks prior to departure. Packing list are provided on request. Any other information please contact our office.
